Substitute Teacher

  • $200-250/day with Weekly Pay

Responsibilities;

  • Lesson Delivery: Implement the provided lesson plans in a manner that ensures students achieve the learning objectives of the day and complete the assigned tasks.
  • Lesson Creation: Support with lesson planning and grading while in long-term assignments. Lesson plans must align with California Standards and school provided curriculum.
  • Classroom Management: Maintain a positive learning environment by building rapport with students, setting clear expectations, and appropriately addressing challenging behaviors.
  • Communication: Provide the lead teacher with feedback regarding students' academic and behavioral performance. This includes any guidance that can support the educator's preparation for the following day.

Requirements;

  • Education: A Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college/university is required.
  • Certification: A CA Credential, Emergency 30-day Substitute Permit, or any other certification allowing you to substitute teach in the state of California is highly preferred.
  • Experience: Prior experience working with students K-12 is required. Lead teaching and lesson planning experience is a plus.
